The plane crashed on a resident doctors' hostel in Ahmedabad, which suffered major damage in the accident. The Indian Medical Association Gujarat has confirmed the deaths of three MBBS students, adding that 45 others have been hospitalised following the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident, saying he was "stunned and saddened". Meanwhile, the Tata Group has announced Rs 1 crore compensation to the families of each person who lost their lives in the crash.
